The Kansas Department for Children and Families provides an excellent foundation for students obtaining social work degrees. With 80 paid practicum positions across the state, students will have an opportunity to round out their social work education by working with clients, community partners/providers and other programs within the agency.

  • Cross-Training opportunities with Rehabilitation Services, Economic and Employment Services and the Protection Report Center.
  • Opportunities to work with external and community partners including medical facilities, schools, law enforcement, courts, prevention services, foster care agencies, supportive housing facilities and others.
