Child Care Assistance Program


​Child Care Assistance, also known as the Child Care Subsidy Program, is available for qualifying families, including foster families, who need help paying for child care costs.

If you are a foster parent and need child care while you work or attend class, the Foster Care Child Care (FCCC) program may be able to help.


Child Care in Kansas​

The Child Care in Kansas website provides comprehensive information for parents, child care providers, employers and communities. This site also provides information on the child care quality recognition and improvement system (QRIS), Links to Quality

Child Care Aware of Kansas is the resource and referral agency for child care. This database provides a customized list of child care providers with openings in your area. Child Care Aware strives to ensure that families have access to affordable, high-quality child care. Staff lead projects, support trainings, and advocate for positive changes that impact the lives of children and families.

Kansas Department for Health and Environment (KDHE) licensing is critical to ensure children are cared for in a safe and healthy environment.
