Non-Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) providers are invited to join the statewide Mobile Crisis Provider Network. The network works alongside the Family Mobile Crisis Helpline serving Kansans 20 years of age and younger and their families. The national model for mobile crisis requires availability for 24/7 in-person response to helpline calls. Please note: This program is for state-licensed behavioral health facilities only, not for individual or group providers.
Begin the process of becoming a provider by submitting a Letter of Intent to Contract to
Frances.breyneavery@carelon.com. Carelon manages the Family Mobile Crisis Helpline as well as the network of crisis providers.
The following must be addressed in the Letter of Intent:
- An affirmation that the facility is licensed by the State of Kansas for behavioral health (please include a copy of the facility license with your submission).
- An affirmation of understanding that the program is 24/7.
- An affirmation of understanding that being a provider includes an in-person response.
- An affirmation that the organization is currently or anticipates being prepared to provide in-person mobile crisis services in the near future.
- An affirmation that the facility will not sub-contract with a vendor to provide telehealth services in lieu of in-person mobile response.
