Economic & Employment Services SNAP Employment and Training

SNAP Employment and Training Support Services are available statewide to:
  • Food Assistance recipients aged 18-59
  • Do not have dependents on the Food Assistance Case
  • AND are not working 30 hours or more per week.

Mandatory participation of 30 hours per week in approved SNAP Employment and Training program activities is required for these individuals to continue receiving Food Assistance.

Services and supports available include:
  • Assistance with preparing and searching for jobs
  • Help getting further education to include High School Diploma, GED, career or technical education
  • Assistance with career or technical education programs
  • Transitional services for 90 days after new employment begins
  • Help getting dentures, eyeglasses, hearing aids
  • Transportation funds for education or employment​
