DCF Announces Service Center Relocation from Overland Park to Lenexa
New Lenexa Service Center Opens June 1

Topeka, Kan. – The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is relocating its Overland Park Service Center to a new office building at 7905 Quivira Rd. in Lenexa. The new location will open to the public June 1.

The current Overland Park location, 8915 Lenexa Dr., will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 29. Beginning Monday, June 1, clients should visit the new Lenexa location for all in-person services.

The new building is a modern workspace designed with comfort and convenience in mind for DCF employees and clients, including more interview rooms and a larger lobby. The new location is next to a city bus stop, making it easier for residents to access the service center. About 180 staff members will be based out of the Lenexa office. Phone and fax numbers will remain the same. DCF is leasing the building through SilverRock Ventures, LLC.

“We’re thrilled to open our new Lenexa Service Center and continue serving the community in Johnson County from a space designed with both accessibility and comfort in mind. While our Overland Park location served us well for many years, this new facility—just a couple miles away—allows us to better meet the needs of clients with easier access and a more modern, welcoming environment,” said DCF Secretary Laura Howard.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for later this summer.
