APS 101​

APS 101 is a one-hour introductory training on Kansas Adult Protective Services, covering definitions of abuse, neglect (including self-neglect), and financial exploitation, as well as investigation timelines, report processing and service​​ options. This training emphasizes APS’s role in supporting vulnerable adults through the​ least restrictive interventions. Contact Kansas Department for Children and Families to reques​t a virtual training for your agency.​​



In-Person or Virtual Man​dated Reporting (1 hour)

Adult Protective Services provides a one-hour Mandated Reporting training for community professionals. In-person and virtual options are available. In-person requires a minimum of 20 participants. Contact Kansas Department for Children and Families to sign up for Mandated Reporter training



Kansas TRAIN

Community partners can acc​ess the Kansas APS Mandated Reporter Training on adult abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation through Kansas TRAIN (course number: 1128835). This free one-hour online course provides guidance on recognizing and reporting concerns involving vulnerable adults to Kansas Department for Children and Families, Adult Protective Services and other state agencies.
