The Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) was signed into law February 9, 2018. FFPSA offers exciting possibilities for communities within the State of Kansas to be responsive, supportive and be a part of meeting specific needs of children, teens and families in Kansas. FFPSA provides a unique opportunity to position Kansas as a leader in child welfare.
The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather ideas regarding partnerships alongside families in communities to reduce the need for entry into foster care. Responses regarding services available are due April 3, 2019. We are looking forward to learning more about what is available across the State of Kansas.
Below you will find resources related to elements of FFPSA. Additional resources will be forthcoming.
