Economic & Employment Services Child Care and Development Fund Plan

The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is preparing the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan for 2022-2024. CCDF supports financial assistance for low-income families through the Child Care Subsidy Program. CCDF funds child care regulation and licensure of child care facilities and consumer education to help parents select child care that meets their families’ needs. Other CCDF early learning quality initiatives include services that build the knowledge and skills of the workforce and support child care programs to achieve higher standards of quality. The State Plan includes a link to the report from the most recent Child Care Market Rate Analysis completed in March 2021, analyzing 2020 data regarding child care provider rates in Kansas.
