The Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services/Addiction and Prevention Services, in partnership with ValueOptions of Kansas, is pleased to announce the award of grants for the treatment of substance use disorders effective April 1, 2011. The announcement is being made following a Request for Proposal process that began in December of 2010.
According to SRS Secretary Rob Siedlecki, "The State has a long-term, positive working relationship with the Wichita substance use disorder treatment providers. These grant funds will serve individuals in the Wichita area who have been unable to access treatment."
Following a multidisciplinary review of proposals, the following providers were selected to receive additional grant funds that will increase Wichita’s capacity to provide social detoxification, intermediate and outpatient services.
- DCCCA, Inc.
- Kings Treatment Center
- Miracles, Inc.
- Preferred Family Health, Inc.
ValueOptions’ of Kansas CEO Myron Unruh stated, "It is our pleasure to help support the good work that is being done in Wichita. We look forward to our continued partnership with the State of Kansas and Wichita providers."
The grant recipients will enhance their current residential and outpatient services by offering additional capacity, serving special populations and incorporating Recovery Oriented Systems of Care into their current treatment models.
