Newsroom Letter from Secretary, Robert Siedlecki Lists

Welcome to an updated look and feel for the SRS website!  In the upcoming months, our web team will be working to make further improvements.

This quick new version gives us access to two new main page features that are very important. First, the website will be updated once a quarter with a new letter from me. It will be one way to remain accessible and in contact with the public who visits this site. It will be an indicator of what we are currently focusing on and where we are going.

A second new feature we are excited about is the Adopt a Child section on our front page. This is a simple way to give more exposure to Kansas kids who are available for adoption. We have found the more publicity an available child receives, the more likely they are to be adopted. Our first priority at SRS is the health and safety of kids, and adoption is a big component of that.

Because it is so important, we are celebrating Kansas Adoption Month in November. We will be hosting our own adoption events, as well as taking part in the events our adoption contractors organize. It will be a busy but fun month here at SRS. Stay tuned for ways you can be involved.

Thanks for stopping by and come back often!
