Topeka - The Department of Social and Rehabilitation
Services (SRS) transition to a new payment center contractor for child support
enforcement occurred without incident.
SRS contracted with JP Morgan Chase to serve as the statewide payment
processing services provider. The four-year contract is valued at over $19
million, $2.4 million a year less than the previous contractor.
JP Morgan Chase began processing child support payments for the Kansas
Payment Center on July 1st. The payment center processed nearly $30 million
dollars and 180,000 payments during the first month of operation.
