Newsroom Governor Brownback Recognizes DCF Employees of the Quarter

​TOPEKA – Governor Sam Brownback recognized five Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) employees Wednesday, as part of a quarterly event to highlight the good work of State workers. Governor Brownback and DCF Secretary Phyllis Gilmore congratulated the following DCF employees who were recently named DCF Employee Award and Recognition Program winners of the fourth quarter:


• Kristi Scheve, Central Office
• Marty Vinson, Kansas City Region
• Christina Juarez, East Region
• Bob Hirst, Wichita Region
• Randy Ward, West Region

“These individuals have shown excellence in their work,” Secretary Gilmore said. “They were nominated by their peers and supervisors for going above and beyond to help families and children of Kansas.”


Governor Brownback hosted a reception in their honor Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the old Secretary of State’s ceremonial office, 212 N, in the State Capitol, Topeka.
